Rick Thompson

Rick Thompson has been in radio since 2001 when he co-hosted along with Lynn Goodness “The Senior Forum” radio show.  The show was broadcast on a local radio station and had the 2nd highest ratings for a talk show it’s time slot in the Capital District.  The show aired from 2001 thru 2008, when Saratogabroadcasting.com was started.  The Internet station started out as an 80’s music format show only and in 2012 along with partner John Franck, a mix of talk and music was introduced.  Rick has interviewed  guests from Thailand, California and New York City live among others on his show.

Rick is active in his Community as a member and Past President of the Saratoga-Wilton Kiwanis Club and a Past Distinguished Lt. Governor of the Mohawk Division of the New York District of Kiwanis, he is a current Board of Director of Saratoga’s Community Federal Credit Union, a past member of the City’s Community Development Block Grant Committee and a past member of his Parish Council.

Shannon Murphy

Shannon Marie Murphy

Born and raised in upstate New York, Shannon Marie Murphy spent most of her life in Hadley Luzerne. Her middle school and high school years were spent enjoying the outdoors, participating in almost any extra curricular activities, joining groups, being a part of many sports teams, sticking to her studies, and enjoy the many aspects of the arts such as instrumentals and vocals. Graduating in the top ten of her class, she received a scholarship to Russell Sage College in Troy New York. Not only did she carry a heavy academic load, and extra curricular load, but she also was faced with the responsibility of raising her son, Noahh James Murphy.

At Russell Sage College, Shannon maintained deans list with a 9.89 GPA for three years studying English & Political Science. Ever since Shannon was eight years old she has been intrigued in politics as they have always been a common theme of discussion amongst her closest family members. Shannon shares a very Libertarian view of politics and the world surrounding us and wants to just spread the message.

Even if you may not completely agree with her views, she is inviting you to sit down and listen to what she has to say. Also interested in spreading the message of how powerful positivity can be, she is inviting you to listen to how peace and positivity have changed her life. Now aged 21, this young, smart kind and caring single mother is ready to bring to you a show that delves into politics, life, and the power of positivity.

Tony Podlaski

Tony Podlaski is your host for Racing with Ski. He has worked for the New York Racing Association as a press box coordinator and communications assistant. Along with being an associate professor of English at Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, N.Y., Tony has also worked for the sports department of the Times Union (Albany, N.Y.) and written a variety of sports stories for the Baltimore Sun, Rocky Mountain News (Denver), Orlando Sentinel, New York Newsday, and Saratoga Seasons Magazine. Tony lives in Colonie with his family: his wife Linda, his daughters Meaghan and Lindsey, and former show pug “Cash”.

Steve Kamen, NSSA is a nationally-recognized Author, Financial Speaker, Continuing Education Instructor and Wealth Planner who for four decades has been helping people prepare for the future, and continues to fulfill his calling in doing so.

As a National Social Security Advisor (NSSA), Steve has counseled thousands of retirees and those about to retire on wealth preservation, as well as assisting college-bound families on securing the family financial base. Mr. Kamen is a workshop presenter at multiple area high schools and colleges, including Empire State College. He has appeared on financial television shows, radio, has authored several articles and has been called upon by Barron’s and Money Magazine for expert commentary. He is currently working on a second book named “Retire Abundantly” which will help people understand some of the dangers that they could fall into while trying to preserve their wealth.

Steve was invited to serve on Congressman Jim Greenwood’s Congressional Working Advisory Group, reporting directly to the Chairman of the Oversight and Investigation Subcommittee to help draft new legislation in the wake of the ENRON collapse.

Steve entered the business in the late 1970’s because of the direct impact the Estate Tax Laws had on his treasured family business. This experience uncovered a new goal in his life, protecting other families and businesses from this disheartening miscalculation. In the mid-1980’s he formed a planning company, setting out to empower families and businesses to thrive and not experience the harrowing consequences his family suffered. From there, he co-founded Mosaic Wealth Strategies Group, Ltd with Maureen Hallaran, NSSA in Saratoga Springs, NY providing a spectrum of services, continuing his mission of helping Clients prepare for the future, of which he remains instinctively passionate.

Just a quick conversation with Steve will help you understand his grounded personality and quick wit that places anyone in his presence at ease. He has a profound respect for classic cars and appreciates collecting and restoring them with his son Jacob. A metaphor for his career of helping uncover the potential of every Client he encounters. Maureen Hallaran, serves as a National Social Security Advisor, Speaker, Continuing Education Instructor, and is the co-founder of Mosaic Wealth Strategies Group, Inc. (MWSG). Having served the Saratoga Springs and North Country region for over a decade, she is valued for both her expertise in Insurance and Medicare and her compassionate, straight-forward, and open communication style. Maureen’s background in the Health Care industry and financial planning creates an exceptional platform for sustaining her clients throughout their adult lives. Maureen came to Saratoga Springs in 2006 from Long Island where she lived for almost 45 years. She resides in Middle Grove, NY with her husband John and two sons. When Maureen gets a minute to herself, she loves to soak up all that Saratoga offers, including hiking, biking, kayaking and dining at some of the finest spots in town.
